The culture kaleidoscope will provide an opportunity for people to learn and gain knowledge of what Chinese culture is all about.
There will be a range of activities available for all to enjoy, designed to encourage participation and learning. Activities on offer include unique Chinese ‘Man’ ethnic group’s torn paper arts, traditional Chinese paper cutting arts and workshops, Chinese zither demonstrations and workshops, traditional Chinese cloth button making workshops, a spectacular Chinese women’s dress ‘Qi Pao’ history introduction, Chinese Chees learn demonstration and competition, Chinese health information and consultation plus Chinese calligraphy and painting demonstrations.
There’s plenty for the kids to choose from too, with Chinese language lessons, a Chinese bamboo yoyo class or a handcraft workshop too.
For an introduction to a range of Chinese ethnic groups, there will also be costumes and traditional customs waiting for you to immerse yourself in. Plus, don’t miss your opportunity for a photo with the Peking opera performers who will be dressed in their colourful costumes.
