As part of China Up Close, a rich program of exhibitions, talks and live events exploring Chinese moving image art and cinema, ACMI's Lightwell will be transformed into a space of vibrant colour and Lunar celebrations for kids and families.

Light up the New Year by creating your own Lunar lantern. Perform in an ancient fable in the green screen world of a TV studio, or watch screenings of much-loved Chinese animations.

ACMI's free exhibition Filmscapes, featuring the works of celebrated Shanghai-based moving-image artist Yang Fudong, is open until the extended time of 6pm.
