Celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Sheep from 15 February until 1 March at Eureka Skydeck 88.
The number 8 is considered a symbol of luck and prosperity in the Chinese culture, and since it's situated on the 88th floor of Eureka Tower, there's no better place to get the Lunar New Year off to a good start than Eureka Skydeck 88.
Visitors will be able to tie a red ribbon onto a wire display shaped into the number 88 to leave messages of good luck and well wishes for the Year of the Sheep.
A sea of red paper lanterns covering the ceiling on the first floor entrance and a two-metre-tall wire 88 art installation will have Eureka Skydeck 88 glowing red throughout Chinese New Year.
Bilingual information boards from Melbourne’s Chinese Museum will be on display, with social and historical information about and images related to Chinese culture. Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover their Chinese zodiac sign and what it means to them.
Eureka Skydeck 88 is the highest viewing platform in the Southern Hemisphere and the best vantage point to celebrate Chinese New Year in Melbourne.
Eureka Tower, located at Southbank, is an easy walk from Federation Square, Flinders Street Station and Crown Entertainment Complex.
